Colour Grading and Correction

Colour Correction/Grading



  • Colour grading refers to the brightness levels of 'reds, blues and greens'
  • Balancing the colours to make whites seem whiter rather than it being washed out
  • Involves increasing and decreasing a colours saturation 
  • Colour grading is the process of enhancing and altering the colour 



The first image is the original clip, without the use of 'colour balance' 
The second image is the edited clip with the use of 'colour balance' - Highlight and Shadow balances 


  • It has fixed the white balance problem

   STEPS :


  1. Go to windows
  2. Click on workspace and change to effects
  3. In the right hand corner click on the tap at the top that says 'effects'
  4. Folders should appear, click the one labelled 'Video Effects'
  5. Click the fourth folder down labelled 'Colour Correction'
  6. Then drag the one labelled 'Colour Correction' to the clip you want to edit
